Evgeny Kozlov is an Ottawa lawyer who provides legal services to individuals and enterprises in English and Russian. Evgeny acquired considerable international experience during his military career (military missions, disarmament process, and a UN peacekeeping mission), and while working on various international projects in Central Asia for the World Bank, EBRD and ADB. Evgeny’s international experience includes work in the following areas: international military cooperation, peacekeeping, restructuring and privatization of public enterprises, the strengthening of institutional capacity and law reform.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa’s law school, Evgeny articled at a national law firm in Ottawa, where he gained valuable experience in such areas of law as international trade law, commercial litigation, competition law and not-for-profit corporations.

Evgeny has represented his clients before the Superior Court of Ontario and administrative tribunals on various matters ranging from commercial litigation to wrongful dismissal, business law, family law, disability pensions and contract law. Evgeny’s clients come from North America, Europe and Asia.

Evgeny has two law degrees: LL.M in civil law (the International University of Kyrgyzstan – with highest honours) and Juris Doctor (JD) in common law (the University of Ottawa) and is pursuing his LL.M degree in International Business Law.

Evgeny is an extremely well-traveled person who lived, studied and worked  in a multicultural environment in various countries: Russia, Canada, USA, Baltic countries, Central Asian republics, Western and Southeast Asia.

Andrei Ostanin is a Moscow lawyer with over 20 years of experience. After graduating from the State University of Kyrgyzstan Andrei went to Austria to attend the Banking Legislation Course. After Andrei joined the legal department of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, he participated in a World Bank project on the banking law reform. Andrei was also seconded to the law firm Clifford Chance (London, UK) where he participated in drafting acts for the Kyrgyz Republic. When Andrei joined the law firm LegExp, he took part in a number of major international projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, including the ADB project on drafting “Bankruptcy Act”.

In 2004, Andrei was admitted to the Bar of the Moscow Region (Russia) and started practicing in the following areas: civil litigation, damages, family law (divorce, family property, custody), property law, estate law, real estate, intellectual property, including trade marks and domains, defamation, contract law, arbitration, media law, and business law. Andrei’s professional achievements includeinter alia, the representation of one of the major Russian publishing holdings in the domain dispute (WIPO, Switzerland), large construction companies, foreign manufacturers and many others.
